How To Grow Long Hair Fast | Home Remedies

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is a great way to get thick strong hair and has been used for thousands of years all around the world. Coconut oil protects and moisturises the hair which adds growth and thickness, the fatty acids and protein in coconut oil protects split ends and prevents hair from breakage. The best way to use coconut oil is gently heat in a jar or over the hob until it's warm and gently massage into the hair and scalp for a few minutes and leave in over night and wash out the next day, it's oils and vitamins are all natural and this is actually a better and healthier option than using conditioner, you can buy coconut oil pretty much anywhere I usually order mine on ebay as it's only £4 for half a litre.

Almond Oil

Almond oil was discovered by Egyptians, they were obsessed with their appearance and having long shiny hair, they discovered almond oil was an amazing hair treatment and it's still being used now for hair remedies. Almond oil stimulates the hair follicles promoting growth and a head of strong healthy hair. Similar to the coconut oil treatment heat over the hob for a warm consistency and massage into the scalp and hair, leave in over night or as long as you feels best.

Remember washing your hair everyday actually drains the natural oils and leaves you with dry brittle hair as there are so many chemicals in shampoo and conditioner, also using hot water on your hair everyday can cause brittle hair and split ends.

Brushing your hair as soon as you get out of the shower is a giant NO this causes breakage and makes the hair weak, the best thing to use is a comb or just leave it until it's dry and then comb it, I never really brush my hair I always use a comb as I find brushing it is way to rough and is very damaging. When you dry your hair with a towel don't be to rough and gently dry so you are not pulling on the hair and ripping it out, also if you dry with a hair dryer or use any kind of heat on your hair use heat defence spray or a serum to protect your hair from breaking off.

I am not a qualified hair dresser, these are tips from research and experience with my own hair.

BBQ Chicken Salad | Recipe

This is such a simple meal but I've added some ingredients to it which really adds a lot of taste and gets rid of the dryness from the lettuce.

Your going to need:
Tomatoes
Lettuce/watercress/rocket salad
Cucumber
Chicken
Coleslaw
Pepper

BBQ Sauce:
1 tablespoon of cider vinegar
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons dark brown soft sugar
1/4 teaspoon mustard/mustard powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 clove garlic, minced
120g ketchup
1 tablespoon chilli sauce

First of all I washed the watercress under the tap then drained it out, I then placed it on the plate chopped up some tomatoes and cucumber and mixed it in with the watercress.

Time to make your BBQ sauce, grab a small saucepan keep the heat at medium and mix together the ketchup, sugar, mustard, garlic, chilli sauce, cider vinegar, worcestershire sauce and salt.
Then once it's heated up and all mixed together leave it to cool down.

Next your going to need the chicken, chop it up into slices and once the BBQ sauce has cooled down brush it on the chicken.

The next option is up to you depending on wether you want coleslaw and a BBQ sauce taste mixed together but I loved it mixed together, grab a tablespoon of coleslaw and mix it in with the salad already prepared on your plate this will get rid of any dryness in the salad.

After you've done that mix the BBQ chicken in with the salad. Lastly I covered it in pepper for extra spice and for a side dish I added some roast potatoes.

Enjoy!

HOW TO: make cheesy nachos

Your going to need:
Tortilla chips/crisps
Cheese
Tomatoes
Low Fat Natural yoghurt
Tomatoe purée (in a tube)
Thai sweet chilli sauce
Salt & pepper
Rocket Salad

First of all place the tortilla chips In a bowl, I got about half a big bag of tortillas.

Now it's time to make your sauce, for this you will need your tomato purée,natural yoghurt, salt, pepper and Thai sweet chilli sauce

Get a bowl and put about 4 table spoons of the yoghurt in there, then I did six squirts of tomatoe purée mixed In with the yoghurt you can do less or more depending on how much you want the sauce to taste like tomatoes. Then I put 2 table spoons of Thai sweet chilli sauce, again depending on how chilli you want it you can add more or less, it's all about getting the sauce right and how you want it to taste as this is very similar to a salsa sauce I think! Then add the salt and pepper, this defenitly completes the sauce it's a must have!

Next grab an oven tray out of the cupboard and put the tortilla chips on the oven tray ( I'm not using foil as the tortillas stick to the foil so make sure you clean your oven tray before use ).
Then I poured half of the sauce mix on to the tortillas. For cheese I have used cheese slices, I think they are creamier and taste a lot less sickly, but you can use any cheese you want! You then place the cheese on top I used four cheese slices. Next pour the remaining sauce you have left on top of the cheese. The reason why I've layered the sauce is to mix it all up so you can get the taste everywhere.

I then got a tomato and cut it into slices and placed a few slices on top, before it goes in the oven it should look something abit like this:

I then placed my tray in the oven on 150 degrees and left it in for 30 minutes!

Once that's done place it on a plate, I put a tiny bit of rocket salad on the top and added some more salt and pepper.. It's now ready to serve!
Hope you enjoy..
