Glorious Soup Review | Skinnylicious Adventures!

Hey everyone! Today's going to be a little bit of a different post based all around soup! I never usually write about food so I'm quite excited to and may actually do more posts like this in the future, let me know if you'd like to see more like this, as I really enjoyed working on it!

I'm going to be talking about Glorious Soup, probably one of the best soups I've tried before. You can get it in so many different flavours which is my favourite part as I'm definitely going to be buying more when I can, for now though I am reviewing 2 soups in the flavours "Thai Tuk-Tuks & Tumeric" (yellow soup in pictures) and "San Antonio Fiesta in Limited Edition" (brown soup in pictures).

These Glorious soups are filled with so many tasty ingredients! The textures are creamy, mouthwatering and simply delicious. I tried both the soups cold and hot, and I must say that they tasted good either way, you must be thinking "cold soup ugh" it's got so many different unique ingredients in it that it stands out from normal soup, you don't need to add anything yourself or mess around with it because it already has everything you need in one tub.

That's also another thing I want to talk about is the tubs that they come in, so good for taking out on the go as once the lid is off, if you want to come back to it later on you can simply pop the lid back on, with no leakage or messiness and you can save it which is awesome. Personally I can't eat a whole tub in one sitting there's more than enough there (I'm not complaining!) such a good way of saving food, the fact it's so filling but a easy snack has saved me from wasting money on meals or eating out. I've had three sittings in each tub.

It says it all in the name *SKINNYLICIOUS* these soups are perfect for anyone trying to maintain a healthy diet as they contain less than 2% fat and like I said before they are super filling so these are absolutely awesome for weight loss.

The first soup I want to discuss is the "Thai Tuk-Tuks & Tumeric" the description for this on the front of the tub says "A fragrant carrot soup fused with coconut, lime leaves, lemongrass, noisy markets and crazy tuk-tuks".

What are my thoughts on this flavour? I really enjoyed this, it has a really thick and creamy texture and a Thai like feel to it. I'd say there was also a slight spice to this soup, I LOVE spicy food so this gave it a great kick.

The second soup is the "San Antonio Fiesta in Limited Edition" the description for this on the front of the tub says "A hearty chilli sin carne soup with tomato, four bean mix, basmati rice and a pinch of peering at colourful floats parading past".

This was hands down my favourite soup, it felt like I was eating one of my favourite meals! Chilli concarne. There was also rice in the tub so I wasn't missing out on that either! The texture was thinner than the last soup but the taste was mouthwatering, it was really yummy! It had a lot of Morrocon vibes to it, this also had a little bit of spice but it's all in the name right "Chilli". Overall I really really loved this flavour and I'll definitely be purchasing it again on my next shopping trip!

If your wondering where you can buy Glorious soup, it's sold mostly at big supermarkets such as Asda, Morrisons, Tesco's, Sainsburys ect. I will also leave their website and social links below :)

BBQ Chicken Salad | Recipe

This is such a simple meal but I've added some ingredients to it which really adds a lot of taste and gets rid of the dryness from the lettuce.

Your going to need:
Tomatoes
Lettuce/watercress/rocket salad
Cucumber
Chicken
Coleslaw
Pepper

BBQ Sauce:
1 tablespoon of cider vinegar
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons dark brown soft sugar
1/4 teaspoon mustard/mustard powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 clove garlic, minced
120g ketchup
1 tablespoon chilli sauce

First of all I washed the watercress under the tap then drained it out, I then placed it on the plate chopped up some tomatoes and cucumber and mixed it in with the watercress.

Time to make your BBQ sauce, grab a small saucepan keep the heat at medium and mix together the ketchup, sugar, mustard, garlic, chilli sauce, cider vinegar, worcestershire sauce and salt.
Then once it's heated up and all mixed together leave it to cool down.

Next your going to need the chicken, chop it up into slices and once the BBQ sauce has cooled down brush it on the chicken.

The next option is up to you depending on wether you want coleslaw and a BBQ sauce taste mixed together but I loved it mixed together, grab a tablespoon of coleslaw and mix it in with the salad already prepared on your plate this will get rid of any dryness in the salad.

After you've done that mix the BBQ chicken in with the salad. Lastly I covered it in pepper for extra spice and for a side dish I added some roast potatoes.

Enjoy!

HOW TO: make cheesy nachos

Your going to need:
Tortilla chips/crisps
Cheese
Tomatoes
Low Fat Natural yoghurt
Tomatoe purée (in a tube)
Thai sweet chilli sauce
Salt & pepper
Rocket Salad

First of all place the tortilla chips In a bowl, I got about half a big bag of tortillas.

Now it's time to make your sauce, for this you will need your tomato purée,natural yoghurt, salt, pepper and Thai sweet chilli sauce

Get a bowl and put about 4 table spoons of the yoghurt in there, then I did six squirts of tomatoe purée mixed In with the yoghurt you can do less or more depending on how much you want the sauce to taste like tomatoes. Then I put 2 table spoons of Thai sweet chilli sauce, again depending on how chilli you want it you can add more or less, it's all about getting the sauce right and how you want it to taste as this is very similar to a salsa sauce I think! Then add the salt and pepper, this defenitly completes the sauce it's a must have!

Next grab an oven tray out of the cupboard and put the tortilla chips on the oven tray ( I'm not using foil as the tortillas stick to the foil so make sure you clean your oven tray before use ).
Then I poured half of the sauce mix on to the tortillas. For cheese I have used cheese slices, I think they are creamier and taste a lot less sickly, but you can use any cheese you want! You then place the cheese on top I used four cheese slices. Next pour the remaining sauce you have left on top of the cheese. The reason why I've layered the sauce is to mix it all up so you can get the taste everywhere.

I then got a tomato and cut it into slices and placed a few slices on top, before it goes in the oven it should look something abit like this:

I then placed my tray in the oven on 150 degrees and left it in for 30 minutes!

Once that's done place it on a plate, I put a tiny bit of rocket salad on the top and added some more salt and pepper.. It's now ready to serve!
Hope you enjoy..
