How To | Make Your Eyes Appear Bigger OR Smaller

First off I want to apologise for yet another overdue post! I've actually been trying to film a few vlogs for YouTube, unfortunately my camera was messing up and every video I filmed I didn't realise until after all of them said 'file error' and I couldn't even watch them back. Disappointed is understatement! I tried filming a tropical/beach eyeshadow look (which didn't save lol) an introduction video/introducing myself, and I was also going to review a few beauty products. I was so excited and after filming a few videos I realised it's something I really want to start doing along with my blog, I enjoyed it so much so I'm going to try fixing my camera and do them videos again for you guys! I'm so excited.

Ok let's get to it!

Everyone's eyes are a different size and shape, unfortunately my eyes are big and round so when I'm not wearing eye makeup I look like I have googly eyes!
I'm going to give you all some tips on how to make your eyes appear larger or smaller, I always use the technique to make my eyes appear abit smaller as I think it suits me a lot more, it all depends on what suits you and what look you feel more comftorable with on yourself.

How To Make Your Eyes Appear Bigger

First thing you need to do is set a base on your eyelid using a concealer or a primer, then use a highlighter under your brow bone, also apply the highlighter to your tearduct as this really makes your eyes pop! Using dark eye shadows such as browns/dark purple/black ect is definitely a no go for this look, make sure you apply a light eye shadow on top of the base you have set on your eyelid maybe a white one that's really pigmented that would make your eyes really stand out. Next you will need any nutural eyeshadow you have, and place right into the crease to create dimension on your eyes, make sure to always use a blending brush so it's all blended out. You can also drag this colour up above the crease to create a shadow. Next get another nutural colour that you love and blend it into the crease again, but don't drag it up drag it on the outer part of your eye preparing for that wing shadow effect. So at the moment your eye should be looking a little bit like this, not exactly the same ofcorse as you may be using different colours but here is a little idea of what I mean -

As you can see the eyeshadow isn't to heavy, it's nutural in the crease and has been dragged outwards and upwards and is white on the eyelid. Next is time for winged eyeliner, so with this you need to make sure the line is thin, if you create thick eyeliner it's only going to make your eyes appear small. With creating a thin line then you need to drag the eyeliner out and finish it off with a wing. If you have any white eyeliner laying around in your makeup bag, apply this to your waterline, this is actually one of the main steps, as it increases your eye size dramatically!

Last of all is to apply mascara to your top and bottom lashes, having mascara on the bottom lashes really brings your eyes out, you could also apply some falsies to your look aswell, a long pair of false eyelashes, such as wispies or anything similar really accentuates this look.

How To Make Your Eyes Appear Smaller

Same as last time make sure to always apply a base to your eyelid if using eyeshadow, then apply a dark brown to your crease, you can use any colours you want if your going for a certain look or using any types of colours that suit your skin tone, I usually use Browns as that's what I feel comftorable with!
I don't apply much eyeshadow with this look as the main part for me is the eyeliner, with the thick wing!
Depending on what suits your eye, do some winged eyeliner and drag the wing upwards as it brings your eyes out a lot!

Then using a black eye pencil fill in your waterline and create a line on your lower lash line, you can smudge this line out using your finger or a brush as it gives you a much more flattering/smokey look rather than having a thick uneven line under your eyes. You can also top this off with a nice brown shade with glitter in or any eyeshadow of your choice, whatever suits the colours you have already used.

Last of all another simple and easy step is to apply mascara, and if you want some false lashes to!

Samsung NX Mini Review | Picture Quality

Today I am going to be reviewing the 'Samsung NX Mini' camera. I've heard a lot of good things and was pretty fed up with the camera I was using so I thought I'd give this one a go. I did my research, checked out other reviews and all of it was good there seemed to be no faults so I made my mind up and was definitely going to buy it. The NX mini is 22.5mm thick which means this compact camera is easy to take out and about fitting in your bag and isn't bulky and heavy like a DSLR for example. You can buy the NX mini in a various different amount of colours and ofcorse I got mine in pink!

The NX mini comes with an impressive 9mm lens cap with optical zoom which you can easily screw off and on as they have a different variety of other lense caps and bigger ones. Images and videos are caught by a 20.5 megapixel camera and also records RAW files with full HD 1080p video and shoots up to 6fps at full resolution. I was looking for a good image quality camera, I needed it as you need good quality images for being a blogger. Overall I am pretty impressed, once you get the swing of the zoom in lense and getting it to focus ect you will be on a roll. At the end of this post I am going to leave some unedited pictures I have taken using this camera so you can get a feel of how it performs.

My favourite thing about this camera is the flip up screen to take selfies, usually when using a camera you can't see what you look like when taking a picture of yourself but with the flip up screen you can see yourself bright and clearly with just one flip. There's also a Wi-Fi connection so you can send your photos straight over to your mobile device and your social media websites. I usually send the photos from my camera to my phone then edit them and upload, but these cameras do come with a free copy of Adobe Lightroom 5 if you want to make your pictures look even more amazing.

Anyone who invests in the NX mini will soon realise that the controls and buttons are really easy to use, it's not confusing or hard to get the hang of its so simple and actually easier than I thought it was going to be. It is also a touch screen camera so you don't have to use the controls all the time, I tend to use the controls more! Even though this compact camera is slim it's not fragile atall, it's not thin to the point where it feels like it's going to snap. It's lightweight but still thick at the same time and feels nice and sturdy.

Any photographer or blogger wants the latest and best camera but some of us just can't afford it, this camera ranges to £200-£300 in all stores which I think for the qualities it has is a good deal. I am going to leave some pictures below of some unedited photos I have took from the NX mini so you can get a feel of what the image quality is like and if it's to your taste.

As you can see these are really good quality images taken from the Samsung NX mini, I've given you a few pictures from different lighting situations. The picture of the food was taken at night and still captures good detailing, you can see everything perfectly.

I've had a few requests asking me to take pictures of an OOTD so a full body length picture and what it's like for taking full body shots but I haven't got around to doing that yet unfortunately! When I do I will make sure to update you guys and let you know if it's any good.
Overall I'm really happy with this camera and I am so glad I bought it and really think it's worth the price! If you have any questions about it or anything I've missed out that you want to know please feel free to ask.

Summer Outfit Ideas | Fashion Inspiration

I am so glad that summer is only around the corner, I get pretty excited for winter to when summer ends but that excitement usually escapes my system when Christmas is over as January and February is just so dull! One thing I do hate about winter is layering my clothes. As SS15 is nearly here I have been looking at fashion inspiration everywhere and can already tell that it's going to be a good season for fashion.

I adore all the bright pastel colours that are coming in right now, even the pastel winter coats!

I think we can all agree that everything just looks so much prettier in the summer right? As I've been looking online I thought I would gather up lots of summery outfits and share them with you.

These outfits I gathered together for you are from 'PrettyLittleThing.com' I'm sure you've all heard of that website? It's one of my favourite clothing stores at the moment and it's so current!

The first picture I used was some floral patterns, floral patterns will always be on trend no matter what as it's such a statement piece to wear and stands out, summer is all about flowers, sun, beach and standing out with cute outfits!

The second picture I used are Kim K outfit inspired, I love these looks I can tell you now these two pieces are so damn popular on Instagram!

The third outfit is the same dress but in two different colours, when it's June/July/August time it's going to be at it's hottest and these flowy floaty dresses don't just look perfect but would be so comfortable to wear in the heat.

The last picture I used was more for evening events or maybe a wedding!

These pieces are from Westegg.co, this is actually a website I came across not long ago and I'm LOVING it. It's so unique compared to other websites. You need to be registered to view their products just a heads up for you all! (I also connected my Instagram account with them to) Once you've done that your all set and ready to go! West Egg are selling lots of brands you have most likely heard of such as Daniel Wellington Watches, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Raybans, Adidas, Chanel and the list goes on.. But the good thing about it is that these brands on the website are all 80% off the original prices so your getting yourself a bargain and prices where you wouldn't be able to find anywhere else

I thought I would write a bit about this website and let you all know how I feel about their products as we can't all afford the latest Michael Kors Bag at a full asking price so It's such a perfect oppurtinity for you all to get amazing brands at affordable prices.

West Egg are loving Instagram and you can actually model for them, all you need to do is post your favourite picture with a product you love from WestEgg.co I think this is such a brilliant idea as the customers can see what the product looks like styled or worn on their website so you know what it actually looks like.
So let's get on to the items I picked from their website shall we?

As you can see the first two pictures are boho inspired, if your a big lover of festivals or just a big lover of everything flowery and boho this is perfect for you, I'm actually thinking of buying myself one of their floral kimonos, they are so beautiful!

The third picture is this gorgeous 'Adrianna Papell Satin Wrap' It's so elegant and one of my favourite pieces on their site, perfect for any wedding or any posh events you have coming up.

Lastly is the Burberry scarf and Daniel Wellington Watch. I paired these two together for more of a casual/work outfit, personally I think it looks so smart for work attire or perfect for any job interview you have coming up!

WestEgg have the most perfect website and pieces, I can't fault them with 80% off your basically getting a product for free but as a little treat for all my readers I'm also going to throw in a 10% off coupon code on any products you want to buy! Just use the code 'wearwestegg' I am going to leave all the links to west egg below so go ahead and register with them!

How could I forget dungarees! So these are a few picks from 'Urban Outfitters' not the cheapest of shops but still one of my favourites! Look at that red kimono I am in love right now that is totally on my wish list. What's your opinion on dungarees? I think they are a bit like marmite people either love them or hate them, I'll let you in to a little secret, I am a fan of marmite.

The skater dress in the first picture is so bright and really stands out, usually if someone said to me green and pink on the same piece of clothing I would feel a little bit puzzled but urban outfitters can pull it off right?
Lastly the grey and red kimono is so beautiful! I love the red detailing on the bottom of the sleeves as it stands out.

Your gonna need some sassy accessories to finish off your outfit and put it all together. I got some inspo from Instagram using my favourite pictures from 'Lamoda' 'Public Desire' 'Topshop' and 'Primark'.

Let's talk about the bags in the first picture first, I picked nude and pinks as that's really in at the moment and my all time favourite colour, you can't go wrong with nude or some pink fluff!

So the White flatform/platform sandals in the second photo I thought would actually be gorgeous styled with a kimono, and the nude heels next to it would also be really pretty styled with the Kimmy K inspired two piece!

I have saved best for last on this post guys. The topshop sparkly, fluffy heels. Can we just take a moment to appreciate these beauty's?

I really hope this has given you some amazing outfit ideas and got you in the mood for summer, please let me know in the comments your favourite piece and why!

February Favourites | Healthy Food Ideas, Skin Tips, Favourite BeautyProducts

I hope everyone's had a great February, that word 'February' will always confuse me I always forget it's spelt like that and then realise I'm in the wrong when my phone corrects me, thank god for auto correct! I have so many things from this month I want to share with you all such as food, beauty products, fashion items, TV shows, nail varnishes the list just goes on and on..

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you might have seen me make a few posts about hot chocolates and how much I love them, the word 'love' is actually an understatement, I am obsessed and by obsessed I mean I'm having two cups nearly everyday (I know this is bad but there's no judging that goes on here guys). My perfect hot chocolate is to add some milk so it's not to watery or runny then whipped cream and to finish it off I sprinkle some marshmallows over the top! This routine seems to happen every time I make one, I don't think hot chocolates would be as amazing without the marshmallows and cream.

I'm also a big lover of strawberries lately, and chocolate, I could eat them separately but if I have them together in the house at the same time I always HAVE to go that step to far and make some chocolate covered strawberries.

I've also been getting into healthy salads lately aswell, when people hear the word salad they usually think 'eww' but salads are actually really good if you mix it up a little bit. If you live in England like me, you will notice in most supermarkets they have a salad bar? I usually get a few bits from there as you can pick and choose what you want, I also know that a lot of people would rather make things such as pasta, coleslaw, potatoe salad from scratch aswell so you can buy the ingredients from most stores and it's so easy to make. I always put a salad dressing over mine with some toppings such as onion or bacon crispies or even chicken.

I have really got into doing my nails a lot more recently, usually I would just paint them a colour and leave that on until I need to paint them again, I'd never be to bothered about what colour I was painting them. Recently I have been watching loads and loads of nail art tutorials on Instagram and YouTube and I find them so inspiring that I want to try it myself! So I've been on the hunt for nail art kits, new polishes, and also found a Barry M matte top coat which works wonders. I'm also a massive fan of Ciate and Essie polishes now and really want to buy some more.

I also bought some Duo eyelash glue, before Duo I used Eyelure eyelash glue which has actually been my favourite for a really long time, but I've just got a thing for the Duo glue now, I feel like my eyelashes could stay on for weeks probably If I wanted to leave them on for that long lol!

You probably noticed on Instagram I stocked up on a load of beauty blenders? Yep. I ordered one from the actual beauty blender store (MASSIVE MISTAKE) there's nothing wrong with it, it works absolutely perfectly it's just that I went onto eBay a few hours later and saw bundles of them in all different colours selling for about £5. If I could give you any advice I would order the beauty blenders from eBay they are cheap, you get a load of them so they will last longer and they are exactly the same as real beauty blenders.

I'm loving this fucshia pink bag that got sent to me from a shop called 'just for five pounds. I seriously can't get enough of it and every opportunity I get I will wear it. It's so gorgeous styled against white and baby pinks. This has got to be one of my favourite pieces from February.

I also love my new choker from 'Lovelucex' you can find her on Instagram and she has links to her depop and eBay in her bio. As it's getting warmer and I'm way to excited to wear more SS clothes it's time to get the chokers out to pair up with a pretty top. I have so many in my collection and this one is my favourite, I was looking for a double cord one for ages and by luck I found this!

TruSelf Organics Face Mask Review

First off I just want to say I'm really sorry I haven't been blogging as much, I haven't felt like Im in the right mindset to write about products or my outfits and act happy when actually I haven't been feeling great. I know this isn't an excuse but I'm feeling a lot better and positive now, I feel like I can consentrate more on my writing and enjoy it. My new camera is coming aswell on Monday which means I will be sharing a lot more outfits with you and maybe start vlogging to eeeek exciting! So I'm really looking forward to that. I feel really bad when I don't post often, I don't know what it is but the aim for me is to write usually at least 2-3 blogposts a week, and its gone from that to 1 a week.. in a way I feel like I'm slacking and not working hard enough for something I have a really big passion for, another thing I will say is if you enjoy doing something never let people put you off doing it or get you down about it, negativity should push you to want to do it even more to prove people wrong.
Anyway I will stop blabbing on and get on with the review guys.

The other day I recieved this 'TruSelf Organics Face Mask' it comes in a powdery like form so you need to mix water with it to get a damper texture. It's known to help skin problems such as acne, blemishes, wrinkles ect and it also says on the pot it is all natural and handmade! So I was really excited to try this out, I'm a sucker for all natural products!

It says on the tub under 'Directions And Use' to add a small amount to a bowl and mix with an even amount of water, as you can see in the picture I just added some to the lid and mixed it around in there, I didn't want to use a bowl as I wasn't going to be using a lot.

So I've added my water, and have just mixed it around with a plastic spoon then all you need to do is add an even layer to your face, I'm sure you guys know how to do that?! It says you can let it dry on your face to 10-30 minutes, but if you have sensitive skin leave on for less time. Here's a picture of me looking like an ogre with the mask on. A bit of inspo for you all hahaha.

So I left the mask on for about 20 minutes as my skin is quite sensitive and it was the first time using it so I didn't know what it was going to react like. I then washed it off with warm water and a flannel just to make sure I removed all of it.

So what are my thoughts about the face mask?
I think it was really easy to use and apply, and it just dries up like most face masks so yeah I really found the application easy and not to messy considering it's a powder. I only left it on for 20 minutes because that's when I felt my skin starting to get irritated and itchy, I'm not going to complain about this though as it does warn you on the tub about sensitive skin, so I recommend if you do have sensitive skin like me, wash it off after ten minutes and I have learnt that for the second time I use it to. Once I washed it off at first my skin was abit dry (probably because of my sensitive skin and the amount of time I left it on) so I applied some moisturiser to my face, my skin looked a lot fresher after that but I didn't really notice that much of a difference. So I've left it a day and since using it I have noticed blemishes on my skin going, I also had dried up skin on my face from the cold weather which has gone, my skin feels a lot smoother now and my skin looks really clearer to. To be honest I wasn't really expecting much to happen after I washed it off and I just thought oh well, but I think I judged it ALOT as I woke up this morning and half the blemishes I have are going! I'm so happy with this product and I think I may be obsessed with it now. I also think I'm going to start applying it twice a week and do another post about it in a month to let you guys know how much my skin has cleared up. Overall I'm over the moon with this stuff.

How To Avoid Messy Nails Using Elmer's Glue

What your going to need:

Any nail polish of your choice I'm using Barry M Nail Paint. Your also going to need Elmer's glue which I bought online from ebay, and last of all you will need a top coat for the finishing touches.

The glue is the most important part about this, as you can see in the picture I have used Elmers glue and spread it around my nails, if your anything like me and are really slobby when it comes to painting your nails this will be perfect for you! Once the glue has dried paint your nails and the paint that is around your finger nail isn't a probem as it will be stuck to the glue which you can peal off later.

This was my nails after painting them. I know absolutely terrible right? I can never keep the nail polish off my fingers it's a nightmare, Thankgod for Elmers glue!

When the nail polish has dried peel off the glue around your nails and it should look something like this, I made the mistake and put the glue abit far out from my nail so there's still a few tiny bits that need clearing up, but I've learned that mistake for next time!

And this is the finishing look! I used Essie nail polish in 'a cut above' over the White Barry M polish and my nails ended up looking like this, I love a fresh pair of nails!
